May Feeding Event — Union Station
Saturday, May 9, 2026
On Saturday, May 9, fourteen volunteers cooked at Union Station Homeless Services’ Family Center in Pasadena and made 80 fresh, from-scratch dinner plates for residents at both USHS sites — the Family Center and the Adult Center.
The plate: a smashed grass-fed patty between two crispy sweet potato waffle “buns,” dressed with bright chimichurri and a cool Greek-yogurt garlic aioli, with roasted sweet potato fries and a tangy red cabbage salad on the side. Beverages by Leisure Hydration. No seed oils, no shortcuts — every component built from whole ingredients.
We’ve shared a full recap and photos from the day on the blog.
