1. Purpose and Scope

Seed to Serve LA Inc. (the "Organization") receives donated produce and other food items for distribution, free of charge, and also sells produce and other food items, at its community events. This policy applies to every director, officer, employee, volunteer, and contractor who distributes or sells food on the Organization's behalf, and to every individual who receives or purchases food at an organization event.

2. Limitation of Liability

The Organization assumes no responsibility for any harm, including but not limited to illness, injury, or death, caused by any produce or other food goods distributed at its events. Including all produce and food goods that are provided free of charge are provided "as is." By accepting food at an organization event, a recipient acknowledges and accepts this limitation of liability.

3. Required Event Signage

At every event where the Organization distributes donated produce or other food goods, the current version of the notice titled "Please Read Before Taking Produce" must be displayed prominently at the distribution point.

4. Adoption, Review, and Amendment

This policy is adopted by resolution of the Board of Directors and remains in effect until amended or superseded.
