Halloween Produce Giveaway in Eagle Rock, October 31

Free fruit and vegetables for anyone who needs them, on Halloween morning. Drive up or walk up, take a bag, go home. There is no cost and no appointment, and you are done well before trick or treating starts.

Arrive at 9, Not Before

Please arrive at 9 AM, when we open, and do not line up before then. Interwoven sits on a residential street, and we want to keep serving this community while being good neighbors to the people who live around it.

• Do not arrive before 9 AM.
• Do not park in front of homes.
• Do not block any driveways.

We hand out until 12 PM or until the produce runs out, whichever comes first, so it is worth coming close to 9 rather than near the end.

Where to Go

It is a drive through. Enter from Addison Way, follow our volunteers through, and exit onto Laverna Avenue. Stay in your car and we will load it for you.

Coming on foot works too. Come to the same entrance and we will hand you a bag.

Volunteering

We need two crews, and the Friday one matters as much as the Saturday one.

Friday, October 30, 3 PM to 8 PM. We sort and bag everything by hand the night before, so every bag gets looked at before it goes to a family.

Saturday, October 31, 8:30 AM to 12 PM. Setup at 8:30, doors at nine, and we wrap up at noon.

Spots are capped so there is real work for everyone who comes. Please sign up rather than just showing up. Volunteers park on the south side of the lot behind the church, entering from Addison Way.

About Donated Produce

All donated produce is distributed as is. Our Food Donation Distribution Policy explains the limits of our liability as a distributor of donated food, and a copy of the notice is posted at the distribution table.
