Community Produce Giveaway in Eagle Rock, October 10

This giveaway has passed. The next one is on Halloween: Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31.

Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10, 2026 Interwoven Church, 4848 Eagle Rock Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90041

We handed out 400 bags of fresh produce, 7,000 pounds of fruit and vegetables, with more than 30 volunteers across the two days. It was our biggest load yet: enough to fill a 24 foot truck, every pound of it donated.

Three Days of Pickups

Pickups started on Thursday at Hollywood Food Coalition in Glassell Park. On Friday we collected from the Social Justice Learning Institute in Inglewood and from Seeds of Hope, then drove the full truck to Eagle Rock.

Two Days at Interwoven

On Friday afternoon volunteers unloaded the truck, sorted every box and packed the bags by hand. By the evening the hall was lined with rows of full bags.

On Saturday we ran it as a drive through. Cars came in from Addison Way, volunteers loaded bags into each car, and cars left on Laverna Avenue.

Thank You

To Interwoven Church for hosting us again, to Hollywood Food Coalition, the Social Justice Learning Institute and Seeds of Hope for the food, and to every volunteer who came out on either day.
